For those of you looking to make a new friend, please watch out for the following:

. Not accepting sympathy for bad things happening to them/ex. breaking up with a girlfriend/boyfriend or losing a parent or both.
. Claiming, "I don't have sympathy for anybody."
. Being too friendly and or random/ex. offer to take you places but won't tell you where.

I just ended a brief friendship with a guy who I've learned is an unfeeling zealot. He lost both his parents recently and doesn't feel a thing about it. He wont' even check up on his younger brother who was living with his mother. And when I said, "I'm sorry." when he said he broke up with his girlfriend, he said, "Why are you sorry? It's nothing to be sorry about." I said, "It's a common form of sympathy." Then he said, "I don't have sympathy for anybody." And then he has the nerve to take me off his contact list on his phone five minutes before I said I don't want to be friends anymore. >///////< I hope his life falls apart to be honest with you. He's closing himself off to everybody.

Just watch out if anybody says they don't have sympathy. That means they don't make a good friend.
